The 20th Annual Puerto Nuevo Lobster Festival is right around the corner. Puerto Nuevo, the Lobster Capital of Baja, hosts a wine and lobster festival every October at the beginning of the lobster season.  The traditional Puerto Nuevo lobster recipe calls for these delicious crustaceans to be pan fried in lard and served with beans, rice and homemade flour tortillas. But you can order your “langosta” any way you love it.
Tickets are $20 US or $250 MX and will include a Lobster Platter and other goodies that the participating restaurants will serve.
Tickets will be available starting the week on September 24th in Participating Restaurants in Puerto Nuevo and at COTUCO Rosarito.
Puerto Nuevo Style Lobetser Recipe:

* Old bay seasoning
* Pepper
* 2 cups frijoles (beans)
* 2 cups spanish rice

2. Put the lobsters in for about 3 minutes. They won’t be thoroughly cooked.
3. Heat lard or vegetable shortening, in a heavy deep skillet.
4. Split the lobsters in half length wise and remove the green tamale inside.
5. Season the lobster halves with old bay seasoning and pepper.
6. Pan-fry each lobster half for about 5 minutes on each side, until meat is tender and crisp.
7. Drain on paper towels.
8. You can serve them right away or place them in a warm oven until ready to serve
